Can’t access your emails?
Restart your device. It may just be the case that your emails have become stuck and a restart can usually help reset things and get it working again… Next check that all of the settings for your account are correct as sometimes your device can run an update and change some of the settings on your email account.
I’ve lost my files!
Right-click the file or folder, and then select Restore previous versions. You’ll see a list of available previous versions of the file or folder. The list will include files saved on a backup (if you’re using Windows Backup to back up your files) as well as restore points, if both are available.
If this doesn’t work then don’t do anything else just call us.
Error codes
In computer programming, a return code or an error code is a numeric or alphanumeric code that is used to determine the nature of an error and why it occurred. It can also be helpful in finding a resolution to the problem.
If you’re getting an error code, search for the error code number and where you’re getting the error to find a resolution.
Computer running slow?
One of the most common reason for a slow computer is malware running in the background that you are unaware of. New modern computers can also be slowed down by malware.
To improve the way your machine is working bring it in to us and we can do our scans to check and remove the unwanted malware. We can also install up to date antivirus software.
It’s not printing!
Make sure there is paper in the tray(s), check the ink or toner cartridges aren’t empty, the USB cable is plugged in or the printer is connected to Wi-Fi. And if it is a network or wireless printer, try using a USB cable instead. If at any point the Status says Error Printing, there is likely a communication issue between the computer and printer.
Why won’t it scan?
A missing or outdated scanner driver can cause your scanner not to work, so you should update your scanner driver.
Manually update scanner driver – You can go to the website of your scanner manufacturer, find the latest driver for your scanner, and install it in your computer. If this all sounds like a lot of hassle for you then The Geek Guys can help.
