How do the hackers/scammers do it?

During Covid-19 scammers have been able to get through to people by sending emails with attachments that promise to provide the latest Covid-19 statistics. However clicking on the attachment can download a malicious software onto your device without you realising it. The malicious software can allow the scammer/hacker to access your device, log your keystrokes, or access your personal information.

Spam vs. phishing

Spam or phish — in this case, order the spam. The one key difference between spam and phishing is that spammers aren’t out to hurt you. Spam is junk mail: just a bunch of unwanted ads.
